Braemar USA HC-Series Rat-Tail Diamond Dressers are precision form-dressing tools designed to generate accurate half-circle radii on small conventional abrasive grinding wheels. A specially shaped diamond is mounted in the side of the steel shank, allowing the operator to rotate the tool and form a controlled radius in the wheel.
This distinctive design gives the tool its “rat-tail” name. It also provides access and control when dressing wheel forms that are difficult to produce with a standard axial-point diamond dresser.

During use, the HC-Series Rat-Tail Diamond Dresser is positioned in the appropriate dressing fixture and rotated through the required arc. The side-mounted diamond cuts the corresponding half-circle radius into the grinding wheel.
